I'm not sure how many people saw the new turbo that Jose from TD5 inside is looking to sell soon on his Facebook page.
He's thinking of doing an AULRO special in a few months time for a really good price.
I asked him about it and this is the details he gave:
Hi Wade.
Turbo is hybrid fixed with: Upgrade compressor wheel; cnc machined compressor housing,turbine cuting to reduce egt's and backpressure; turbine housing machined to reduce back pressure; anodised mfs compressor wheel with special treatment to make it more resistent to impuritys not filtered by the air filter. VSR 270.000 rpm's balanced;
Remap to suit and turbo boost box will be included in the price.
Sounds good.
Looking forward to this. Any idea on price?
He did mention a price but I didn't want to mention it as he said it's a few months off and was just indicative.
It sounded like a cracking price for the package.
He might appear on this thread and give a rough price?

						Hello all,
Early next month I will be able to release prices for these turbos. A few months ago when we started testing this turbos we posted this here on aulro:
Price range should be within this !
There will be 3 versions of this hybrid turbo:
1- no mfs compressor
2 - with mfs compressor
3 - special build - when you have "special requirements" and very diferent setups in your car and need something diferent.
Dino charts, EGT's measurements and a lot of testing was made with this and we have all the data to share.
Stay tuned... and boosted
Regards...
P.S. - Thanks to blade74 for keeping up our work @ facebook and share it here.
Subscribe! Can't wait to see more details.
Any ideas on shipping costs to Aus?

						SubscriberThis sounds great,
I am a little interested in getting a bit more power.
I am looking at doing a chip soon.
Does the new Turbo included that? or is it a requirement that it is done?
Is it a Variable vane turbo? or is it a fixed setup as in the 1st post?
If it is fixed what is the advantage over the one I have now?
I do enjoy the rev range the Defender TD5 has 1200RPM(maybe 1000) to 3300RPM, I never go outside that. Not that I have a Rev gauge, Haha.
