Thread: Puma clutch replacement

PAT303, 100% agree, every time they have done mine i was very disappointed with the results, especially the one that slipped constantly.

Just to close the loop on this one, my AP Racing clutch is in and is a noticeable improvement on the one clutch (before it started slipping!).

Shifting is much nicer, no clutch spring rattles and less drive train slack too.

FYI, took the opportunity to inspect (and re grease) the MT82 to LT230 adaptor shaft - mine was in good condition without any sign of wear/fretting/corrosion (despite my paranoia).

I'm at 74k. clutch still feels great. but might be time to start getting ready probably!

Interested to know how long this took you, what special garage equipment was required and level of difficulty (i.e. how awesome you are on the tools )?

Can i ask where from and how much was the AP clutch?

In the end I was too busy and got it done for me! I've done clutches in the past and they're not that bad however, due to moving houses, I was looking at doing this one on a sloping grass driveway, after work in the dark (yay for head torches) during a week of wet weather...

All 4X4 Spares, was about $500, including concentric slave cylinder.

Fraser in two weeks time, so that should be a good test!
