Yeah we couldn't work out what it was. It took my son about 2 minutes to find it and remove it.

Reading all these comments is a bit worrying, especially for new Defender owner!

Does it make the new Land Rover buyer feel better if I tell you that I have a friend who bought a holden, in 2 years she has had 7 (yes SEVEN) new drivers window winder motors!!! And that's just 1 fault with the car.

In my mind a clear plastic transport seal left in place on the sub is NOTHING in comparison.

I wasn't too concerned about it we initially thought it was just a Land Rover thing - you know put in a sub-woofer but have it not work properly.

My SubWoofer plastic was on too!

Personally, I was pleased... at least I could remove it without having greasy mit paw marks everywhere!

Last week I took my truck in to have my leaking steering box looked at. I decided to 'wrap' my Momo alcantara/leather wheel if cling film as dealers here don't seem to have steering wheel protectors... just seat protectors.

When I picked up the car, the cling film was in tatters and there were oily fingermarks all over the drivers door trim.

TBH, I am getting really hacked off the way mechanics treat the cars. Yes, a Defender is $50k... a Range Rover could be more than 4 times that... and the same guys are doing the spannering.

WHY is this so difficult to get across that just a LITTLE TLC and respect for other peoples property would actually be an appropriate thing to do?

I am verging on a rant here!!!

Good to hear Jim. What color did you get?
I confess a 110 Wagon was tempting just to be able to sleep in the back!

I'm sure you guys will LOVE your new defenders! Can I just say "Stop ordering keswick green with a white roof" or my car wont be different hahaha.

I wanted to look at a 110 dual cab or crew cab or whatever they call them but I was told in no uncertain terms that they were (and I quote) "...too big and ugly, I only want a 90. It is small and cute..." So I ended up with a 90. I love it; surprisingly it's pretty good around town (very short and can fit in parking bays pretty easy) it's awesome fun on the highway and still tough enough to tow a decent trailer - which makes up for it having next to no space inside (I'm not aloud to remove BOTH seats, I did however take out one.
