    Congrats on the new D90.

My wife picked her D90 up a year a go next week. The only issue was low air con fluid which she didn't notice for 3 months because she never uses it until it's really hot. Other than that - she loves it.

So i didn't feel left out I went in and ordered a new 110 last weekend - a day after the orders closed (apparently) but got confirmation its accepted. This means I will have to sell my Amarok (which is great on and off road).

So what am I sharing this - when I bought my Amarok everyone told me they were unreliable, too many electronics etc. 4x4 forums were full of bad news. Then I looked at reviews for other 4x4s and you read similar bad news about Rangers, Hiluxs and Defenders. It will be a sad day when I do sell it but I don't want to miss the chance to buy a new 100 before they go out of production.

To put it into contrast the last car I bought is a 1987 Perentie Cargo 110 (yes well then have 3 Defenders in our drive). I expect things to be broken, unreliable and fall off.

Despite the Perentie's age, the D90 aircon and the perception of unreliable Amaroks I love driving them all for different reasons. Forums are great for sharing experiences and I get a lot from reading this one but will openly say none of my purchase was based on any logic - they were all based on emotion.

So I hope Im going to love my 110 like my wife loves her D90 and I loved driving my Amarok.

Enjoy your new car and get it dirty !

    Shaun

ps. the first thing we did with the D90 was take out both rear seats.

Good work in managing to snap one up before the end of production, and I thought I was doing well ordering mine in April. No doubt you will be picking yours up after the financial year so does that make it a 2016 model? Or does it go by calendar year?

I confess a 110 Wagon was tempting just to be able to sleep in the back!

Hi , Keswick Green , with white roof , and colour coded wheel arches . When I first inquired I was told there are none in the country that colour . I was offered Black , White , Red , and dark Blue . The manager new I wanted Keswick , He came over and said to me and the salesman , I can get you one but you will have to wait , As It will have to be ordered . It is now here in Oz , and just a few more day's . Jim

LOL it's good to hear there's other grown men out there feeling like a little kid waiting for santa to arrive. There must be a run on Keswick Green in Aus, My 130 Keswick green with white roof arrives next week,to say I'm obsessed at the moment would be an understatement . This will be my first Defender and I can't wait to fit it out.

There are a couple of reasons I picked Keswick Green , Firstly of the colours available that's the one I like the most . I have a 110 Extreme and it is metalic Red , and I love the colour , It is called Ruby , I also have an old 110 County , that is Masai Red . called The Red Rooter ! So not another Red . I knew that the first 1948 80in was Green , but I didn't know what the colour was called . I learned somewhere that the paint was the paint that they used inside Spitfires , and other planes , so that appealed to me . Last but not least I thought that It would be the colour for Land Rover to go out with , that they started with all those years ago . I may seem strange to some people to give a vehicle a name , but I do . I haven't come up with one yet for the newie . Early day's yet !!..
