    Which Dealer supplied your vehicle?
    Well done, Pickles.
Thanks. Yeah I bought it from NSW, Coffs Harbour and had it trucked down.
$600 for the freight charge, but was offset by dealer dropping a grand off.
    Good experience.

    Update.

Doesnt take long before you realise you want to spend money to make it the way you want.

WAS looking at LED headlights, - the std ones are atm good enough, so Ive put the leds on hold pending other priorities.

High on the list is a towbar, its being fitted on Wed.
Bullbar next, then "cough" "splutter" daytime running lights.
DRL's, I was a non believer, until I used them. They are high on the priority.

Girlfriend whinges because there is no grab rail above passenger window.
Most important to make a dignified entry into the vehicle. thats next. I dont want no more whinging GF. Strange how the rear passengers get a roof grab rail, but not the front passenger?

My mum cant get in cause its too tall, (and the GF whinge again), that I need to get side steps/ rails etc. Have to work that one out!

Trying to work out a good way of mounting a tablet on the dash.
I want something removable, but also something that looks good.

Last but not least, something to put in the inner guards to stop all the stones and sticks and dead cats making noise when the tyres pick them up. Rhino guard or something like that.

    Thats my update and thoughts.

Not sure if this will work for you, but I have a Ram mount for my ipad that clamps on the passenger grab handle. It can be removed without leaving a mark and is rock solid. Can be adjusted for passenger use, drivers use or removed (leaving the small clamp on the grab handle) in a few seconds. It comprises of four parts,
    1- RAM-B-202
    2- RAM-B-108BU
    3- RAM-B-201-C
4- RAM-HOL-AP8U (this is for the ipad)

    Hi Karlz,

regarding the parking in Melb CBD, I have found two options I use:

    1. Southern Cross Station - fits no worries, but no roofrack.
    2. Federation Square - fits easy, and can go in with the FrontRunner rack on. It does bump the height warning bar at the entrance, however there are no clearance issues on the first two floors that I have found.

And congrats on the machine !

    cheers,

    Wayne

    Where can you park?
All the places I use to park are only 2.1m at max. The Defender manual says 2.182!

So, Im thinking of ideas. Fat bloke or chick in the back, full tank, tyres lower pressure.

Scary. Hitting a sprinkler head is rumoured to cost $2000 per fire brigade truck, not to mention damage to LR
Hi Karlz, Great looking Defender. As for height my brochure states 2021 to 2182 mm. I measured my 110 over a thule roof bar at the back & it is 2160 - may have settled a little in the 340,000 kms or so! So suggest you take a measurement> I did because my garage door is only 2250 mm & it just scrapes in with the rack on, just have to remember not to have anything on the rack.

Another trick is to check out the car park entrances on Google Earth before you go. You should find clearances posted above them.
    Cheers Billy.

    Towbar on yesterday, Hayman reese.

    Landrover quoted $1300.
Used instead www.tossa.com.au which were $790

They come to your house and install. It took them about 2 hours.
The bloke doing it was awesome. Bloody impressed. Recommended.
