    Who's a happy boy?

Picked up the new 110 today.
    Cant stop grinning.

Hopefully this pic comes thru , if not I'll fix it tomorrow.

    1st Observations (38kms)
    - As Jimr1 has said, "heater works really well , It gets very hot "
    - Driving out of the dealers, noticed it dont turn to much - But I remember how it used to be. - Its still the same
    - I put indicator on, and people stay away!
    - Need to get used to the manual
    - Its very tall, my mum wont be able to get in without a push
    - It sounds great
    - Ergonomics good. - The seats suit me (partial leather)
    - Driving over kerbs is not noticeable
    - Every now and then (2x) you hear something in the back of the car going "bang, ching, ka-chunk" - Dont know what it is!!!!! - Sounded like a stick, or something the tyre was picking up. I swear there were no dogs around

    Happy me.

Looks fantastic. Getting your new Defender is very exciting. By the way the noise may just be stones etc flicking up. There is quite a lot of advice on how to minimise it on the forum. If it is that I put in some camping foam matting on the floor areas, got some rhino liner sprayed underneath and did some rust proofing (this was surprisingly effective for me).

It was enough to keep the wife happy!

Congratulations , What a beauty , I'm sure once you get used to driving It , and every thing beds in your going to get a lot of pleasure from your new 110 . I'm not sure what you like to run your tyres pressures at ? I found mine on the high side , It is noticeable when empty . I thought mine danced about a bit . I let them down a noticed an improvement . Once again Congratulations !!.. Jim ..

    Congrats on the new purchase

Laughed when I read about the turning circle or lack there of.
I liken it swing a boat around, eventually we get there

I used to get that rock pinging sound too, a set of draws soon masked it.

If your looking for a drive Sunday come join the fun at the Steam Park.(link in my signature).

    Latest observation.

Drive to work (Melbourne CBD) - no expletives please.
    Where can you park?
All the places I use to park are only 2.1m at max. The Defender manual says 2.182!

So, Im thinking of ideas. Fat bloke or chick in the back, full tank, tyres lower pressure.

Scary. Hitting a sprinkler head is rumoured to cost $2000 per fire brigade truck, not to mention damage to LR

With my 2015 110 I can just squeeze into 2.1m. It is tight. I can't imagine yours is too different. every new park I go into is a scary moment but you get used to it.

There's an open air car park in Docklands that I sometimes use. It's on Docklands Drive and at $11 a day is one of the cheapest options in town. Throw in the free trams now to the CBD and you're on Bourke St in 10mins.

I don't trust those car park height signs at all ...
