The biggest problem for the Rubicon, apart from the fact that it is a Jeep, is that you can't carry more than a cheese sandwich with thin slices of bread. It really is a rort. Andrew makes a good point about that. Towing the Jeep is a joke too. Cheers
Yep, the Rubicon has a 4.0:1 low range t/case giving 73:1 low/low, diff locks f/r, etc.
They are supplied with the right bits for hard off roading.
Nothing wrong with that.
The Jeep front end will pretty much always out flex a stock Landy radius arm front end, it's just the way they are designed.
Naturally enough this same video was talked about over in the Jeep forum I also pimp in...
Far more mature comments from the Defender owners here though.... good onya guys!

Daz
and there I was saying how much more mature comments are over here than the JK Wrangler forum (ausjeepoffroad) that are talking about the same video..
Opinions vary......
AULRO = Defender biased.
ausjeepoffroad = JK Wrangler biased.
Perosnally as I have a passion for both models, I say it should have been..
Defender TDCi & JK Wrangler Vs Anything else you want to throw at them.

Mate I was having a bit of of fun but the cheese sandwich comment stands.
Cheers
Low first is so low in my Defender I've had to accelerate downhill at times. It's great for idling over bg rocks though.
Jeep Wranglers are also capable, but cramped and can't tow enough.

After that comparo, I had to wonder if I bought the "right stuff".
The jeeps axle clearance/angle astonished me. I was impressed.
That said, would have been better to compare a 90 not a 110.
Great video though.
You have bought the right stuff mate....many decades worth. Jeep have only recently worked out how v to get good wherl travel from live axle stockers. They didnt show the defender with the front sway bar disconnected as the Jeep almost certainly had operating (ie disconnects)...would have evened things up nicely. The wrangler 4 door towing capacity is 2000kg...says something....and thats not even dealing with load weight capacity. Cheers
