    Reversing Camera issues

I had an ARB reversing camera installed on my 2013 110 wagon sometime ago. Recently it stopped working as did the reversing light. On investigation I found that if I take the globe out of the reversing light the Camera works fine. I have replaced the globe. If I replace the globe with a 5W globe it partially illuminates and I get a no input source from the camera. Normal globe gives no light or camera. Any ideas?

x 2 for the bad earth on the camera and should be easy to check.

It could be there is a high resistance joint on the power line, limits the current and hence the voltage drops off as the load increases. Taking the light out gives more power to the camera. The usual place for this in at the fuse holder.
I'd try finding the fuse and just taking it out and reinstalling.

Or it could be that the screen or camera has shorted, this would drain power away from the reversing light. If you can get an amp meter in the circuit this will give you an idea of what happening. If you can't , The camera should be powered from a plug behind the rear panel on the passenger side, if you disconnect this and the light comes back on, then its the camera. No idea where the screen is plugged in but there should be a meter of the screen, again disconnect etc.

    Cheers Glen.
