Likewise the HSV bodykit, or other 'special' parts will be used on the vehicles.

If you put a limited edition grille on any other defender, it's still just a special part on an ordinary vehicle.

I don't see why this is such a big deal?
And then theres those new Heritage front badges, on ebay everyone loves them, should they be banned also? I bought one to put on my Jeep is that a crime now.

I'm sure you guys would moan if someone ripped off something you paid an extra 30k for. Sure, make a copy of it any day you want, and sell them at a profit, but sneaky **** isn't cool... No different to HSV/FPV.

I disagree with this theory, I think you are way off in your way of thinking.

Don't worry the Adventurer owners won't miss out on their grille because of limited spare parts. Tiff.

He should have the right to put whatever grille he likes on his defender.

So does that mean all the defenders with sawtooth alloys should take them off? Because they're not the real McCoy.

In the nicest possible way, Get a Life!

He was asking for help to purchase a grille, he doesn't need some righteous goody two shoes rant!

But again I'm sure you were just poking fun, right?

In a year or so all the after market people will have every LTD part you require.

And it does surprise me that you think its out of order to purchase said part direct from land rover, when 80% maybe more land rover owners never buy Genuine parts because they winge at the cost. So this is a win win for customer and Land Rover, Land Rover don't give a toss about who's buying a grille for a Defender on the other side of the world. They are happy that people paid more for the make up on there LTD Defenders.

The Adventure editions come with diamond-turned alloys, not Sawtooths. Watch your tongue, my car is absolutely the real deal

I don't have a problem with the OP dressing up his car with an Adventure grille, nor do I think it'll ruffle the feathers of many Adventure owners. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, isn't it?

Thing is, while it would increase airflow, wouldn't it also let in more dust and debris compared with the standard grille, whose plastic sections deflect a lot of that stuff?

I was looking at Bunnings, they sell slightly rigid mesh fly-screen stuff that you can buy by the meter, wouldnt be too hard to fit and really wouldnt obstruct airflow as it isnt too dense. I was thinking of cutting some to fit using the grille as a template, then fitting it behind it to grab some of the insects that build up in the fins over time.

Sounds like a job for your local 3D printer! Can design anything you want within reason and get it made to the existing dimensions of your original grille.

You would be surprised what those suckers can do
