opinions on heat insulation underside of seatbox

    Hi All,

As I have the seatbox out and freshly repainted, i'm now thinking should I insulate the underside of it to reflect heat from the transmission with something like a dynamat before I put it back in?

I'M not sure if this is a good idea in terms of potential to trap moisture and create rust.

The seatbox has just been coated in KBS. Any advice welcome.

Plenty of people have done exactly that. Also wrapped their exhausts.

I haven't used it but the peel and stick heat shield looks especially good. Looking to do transmission tunnel
