    G'Day Gents,

What is the consensus on the castor correction bushes? Am I better of getting the 3? corrected arms?
I was planning of getting the arms, but I just noticed that there are bushes available..... I just dunno how effective they will be.

    What's the consensus Gents?

    Cheers,

    Phill.

I second the comments of Black 110 that LR HD is a good option if you are carrying the weight of a bar and winch. The HD is 225 lbs/in while LR110 are 185lbs/in. The LR HD are the factory issue in the 130 so if you test drive one you should get an idea how they will feel. You wouldn't want to be firmer than 225lbs/in otherwise it could be harsh ride.

I second the comments of Steane to avoid any aftermarket brands that market MD or HD without knowing the rating and coil specs. If the manufacturer won't tell you the specs walk away (it's not rocket science where the specs could start WW3) You will likely end up with coils that don't suit your needs. I learned the hard way.

While there is no arguing against the merits of Koni if you are just greenlaning and not tackling the Canning loaded to the hilt then factory replacement will serve you adequately. they are valved to factory coils so you know what your are getting. If you have the budget and inclination by all means splash out. Just offering an alternative opinion that you might not need the Rolls Royce of shocks.

Thanks MLD. I'm seeing a consensus there between you, Steane and Black 110. Definitely getting some direction now. Thanks for taking the time guys.

I sent Les Richmond an email for getting a quote and purchasing a full White Tiger system from them.
Sent the specs and accessories details, and type of driving I mainly do (i.e not a rock hopper).
Hopefully I'll be able to get the new system in the next 10 days or so and I'll get Pedders or someone like them to fit while Im down in the Mt Tamborine-Canungra region during the next fortnight.
    Heres hoping!
I'll post back my experience and thoughts on the system.
I wonder if I will need to replace the front prop shaft with a Double cardon joint unit?
    Best wishes all.

    springsand shocks

I fitted ome medium duty springs and shocks on my 98 defender110 got a winch and tjm steel bar as well 220,000 ks got 135,000ks out of the shocks but they did work hard pulling camper trailer, springs are still good superpro bushes all round.
the ome gear gave me a 2inch lift which does chew up tyres the military use ome so ill stick with em thinking about a rear sway bar may save my tyres
I always drop my tyre pressures when off road ome are tried and proven.
