Best fuel for Puma 2.2

What about fuel degrading? Manufacture, storage, shipping, decanting, storage, decanting again, transport, decanting again, storage, and decant again into your LR could take up to 30 days. Diesel has a shelf life of about 90 days before solids start to form. Prior to that the chemistry will change. I like to buy diesel from the stations that have high turnover of fuel. I run a fleet type additive in my fuel very similiar to what Cummins specify for their CR diesels. Don't bother with fuel economy because parasitic loads like air cons and alternators and tools and tyres and rain.... Suprised we have not mentioned viscosity of coolant and hp drain pumping that life blood around....

This is the exhaust on the 90... Currently running the 150AB tune until I fit up the Intercooler..

Made a difference and no more melted mud flap either! Was replaced shortly after this pic.

Had a fuel dilemma on Wed,

1. Fill the car to the gills before parking it in a (cool) shed, to minimise condensation for three months.
2. Refuel

on my return so the fuel is fresher.

I chose option 2, plus i was buggered and wanted ot get home

that's a dilemma?

if you'd taken option1 you would never have known any difference.

this thread is turning into flim flam.

if you ran a cyclone and a polariser it would negate any of the effects you are trying to prevent.

Sounds like your a happy polariser user :p

More from a boating angle I have found that half full tanks generate condensation, I don't see why it wouldn't apply to vehicles to a lesser degree, and all fuels have a shelf life. But no biggie either way

I see BP is advertising that its fuels are cleaner. Normally I'd scoff, but I have read that BP fuel is the highest quality sold in this country. Our fuel is lower quality than Europe and the US.
