My Odometer showed 85, 000 km and my original 5 Continental Cross Contact A/T tyres were pretty much worn. I rotated them regularly so got about 68,000 km out of each tyre.
So have just replaced them with Cooper AT3s. These are guaranteed for 80,000 km. At the same time I installed Hannibal Safari TPMS.
The installation was pretty straight forward once I had figured out where the display would go and how I would attach it to the dash.

Those Cross Contacts certainly last well. Ours were still okay at a similar distance, but I replaced them because of age anyway.Quote:

I installed one of these for a big trip mainly to monitor the camper as on the rough roads you wouldn't feel a problem with the trailer. Worked flawlessly up through the centre, along the Gibb River Rd, up to Kalumburu, a section of the Tanimi, and across some rough roads into northern Qld. For the price more than happy.Quote:

Took the boat to Melbourne and installed a new factory radiator to replace my failed Alisport unit, AND:

Looking at August/Sept for the slot to open for the new engine work, and around 2 months plus to do the work.

Spent much money to comply with VicRoads roadworthy. Failed it on Monday due to LED Headlight, had to revert to cheap halogens (then revive LED headlight post roadworthy!), and all wheel offsets outside guards (bought from a dealer mind you, but they looked ok to me). So five new steel wheels as well, thank God I don’t have to replace the 265/75/60 Duellers! #sigh#
I collected the 1992 200 tdi 110 from the doctor today. She went in with an alternator problem (not charging)and while in they diagnosed that the turbo innards were worn. So I had some new innards for the turbo. Both corners of the bulkhead were beginning to blister and lift so I got them repaired while she was in. A couple of small holes where discovered in the body work below the rear side doors so that was added to the list, with the appropriate spraying.
So the trip to the doctor with the tdi came in at €790 or AUD 1317.
New alternator.
Turbo internals
Repair to bulkhead corners
Bodywork below doors
Paint etc
Labour.
Can't really complain as anything that was repaired has been there since she was born...(1992)
