Replace with Silicone insulated wire and it won’t happen again.

Not sure if it's silicon, but the replacement bit of wire is way more flexible than the original.
I should really have replaced both wires when I fixed the first broken one....What did you do to your Puma today?

How about fitting a sheath over the wire?

Good thought. In this case it’s flexing of the copper strand that breaks it through fatigue. Not a rub through.

Using multi strand, flex will reduce likelihood- but it will eventually happen.

The sheath idea was just a little brainwave. What did you do to your Puma today?
The one on the driver's side door of ours broke a while back. Ours has the extended door openers, which are great. When it was fixed during a service the workshop lengthened the wire, on the theory the extended opening of the doors might stretch the wire. Not sure if that is true, but it hasn't broken again.

Replaced my aging mirrors with larger MUD ones with DDE extendable arms. Definitely see batter past the canopy now. Also fitted door adjustment kit from mulgo and extended the central locking wiring.

Got a new Harrop E-Locker fitted to the rear of the 130. I only have regular Defender driveline clunks now, not the additional one that had developed.

Pulled the dash again... I hate it when I leave things unplugged, it was the drivers side window this time.

    Seat box access ports

Removed the seat box in the 130 and added two access ports for using the wasted space as storage. It took a whole day, but I am pretty happy with the result. There is an amazing amount of space in that rear seat area when the box and seats are removed.

What’s the procedure for pulling out the dash ?
My driver side window has just stopped working. The fuse is ok, so I was wanting to check the wiring on the switch.

    Cheers
    Chris
