Wow, that is pathetic!
Went to replace the plastic door lock surround that popped out and found this!
Its a weak spot for sure, the weight of the window reg on corrugations and pulling on the interior handle all give the spot a good workout.
Let this be a warning to those who like/have to pull in their puma doors for a hard slam!
The older defender doors had major corrosion issues with the aluminium skin, and in some areas the puma doors appear to be built tougher. Shame they made this section, right next to the door handle, **** weak!
Wow, that is pathetic!
In the middle a job I've been putting off for ages.
Insulating my ceiling in the 110.
I've done the rest of the truck which makes a huge difference to noise and heat.
Dynamat Extreme and Car Builders Acoustic liner panels.
I've just purchased three sheets of Car Builders Zero clearance thermal panel. Peel and stick and I'm looking forward to trailing it under the exhaust on the panels and on the fire wall if I can reach.
More to follow on that product.
Removing the Fir tree clips from the head lining is a mongrel of a job, even with suitable trim removal tools.
Tip for young players, ensure you have replacement fir tree clips as you'll destroy more than a few.
(Sorry about the sideways photos!)

Today I washed it ready for Melrose.
Hasn't been this clean since the dealer handed me the keys

'El Burro' 2012 Defender 90.
I adjusted my steering stops so that I can now do a turn across 2 lanes rather than driving over the gutter.

I'd better get the hose out. I'd forgotten I entered the show and shine.
Cheers, Billy.

Ho Ho Bloody Ho. I'll buy some milk so I can make you one.
Be warned. I'll be sneaking up behind the Judges and nit picking the Discos to buggery.
Cheers, Billy.
