Yeah, Ian, with the BAS170AB tune the speed limiter is set at 160km/h. The barge gets up there effortlessly. Surprisingly manageable at that speed, on wide open straights and sweeping bends. (Note the term "manageable" and no mention of "handling").

Nah that pic isn't my vehicle. Mind is more bland than bling.

Fair enough, looking at the BAS Remap myself. Dont know if I could trust myself with one of those though. Never mention handling, turning circle and Defender in the same sentence, It's a contradiction in terms. Goes like a tired slug, handles like a wet sponge, has a turning circle that encompasses 3 post codes, but I love it!

"Goes like a tired slug" is fixed real well by a tune.

I second that motion, and once you get used to it the handling is no real problem. I've hammers mine and haven't soiled my Reg Grundies yet.
    Cheers, Billy.

Is that because you don't wear any?

Aren't all Defender drivers supposed to go commando?

After seeing a Laundry Bill in a New York Hotel, I can safely say that it is far more economical to wear Reg Grundies than it is to go Commando.
    Cheers, Billy.

I hope you've got a pyrometer fitted cause going that speed your exhaust would be very hot, remember aluminium Pistons only need 600 deg to be seriously damaged. I'd be careful mate especially with all that extra hp from the remap
