TBH I've had the dash undone and refitted in numerous Pumas and it takes an idiot to really stuff it up. They would have to be one of the simplest arrangements. Torx bit set in 1/4" drive mskes life very easy. Like i mentioned before the centre section can be a pain to line up the vents when refitting but that's about the worst of it.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

I've had the centre section out of mine quite a few times and I can sort that bit out but I need to know the location of all of the screws so I can check they are tight as none of the ones I checked were.

Given the experience we have had over the last month I think they employ more than one idiot so its not surprising they stuffed it up. Although according to them they didn't take it out but they haven't actually asked the guy who worked on it if he did.

Haven't done this job, but looking at the FSM, this should point you in the right direction:

Thanks TA. I'll sit there with a printout of this and cross them off as I work through them.

Update on the Upgrade..ExBox ready to go back in, managed to shoe horn the main fuse box, an auxiliary fuse box and the second battery management unit in there. Thanks to Daniel @ Expedition Centre for his guidance and quality products.

Now to fit in over the new Dynamat clad interior, am really hoping this stuff makes a difference to the road/engine noise.

Moving onto the gullwing doors next.

Good job with the Dynamat Extreme. It makes a huge difference to both heat and noise, especially with DynaLiner over the top.

Little mods today. Attention to detail things.

Cleaned, prepped and sound deadened my wheel arches with spray on sound deadener,
should lesson the impact of direct stone hits on the panels.

Dropped 110mm M8 Cap head bolts through my extended mirror arms bracket, drilled an 8mm hole through the plastic cap covering the base, and did it up some what with suitable washers spreading the clamping force and nylock nuts.
Now my mirrors are firm and it will take another Cyclone Debbie to blow them in on the road, but enough crush left in the cap to allow the arm to move inwards should I hit a branch or person etc. Happy with this mod, and the stainless hardware doesn't look out of place.
Pics tomorrow for anyone interested in this 2 min mod.

Oh, and some "bling" number plate frames. We'll see how long they last over corregations.

Some more wiring and ARB TPMS

I relocated my ARB TPMS (internal) to a dedicated power outlet on the right hand fuse box cover.
This way its easier to see due to being in direct line of site through the steering wheel. The illumination of these is nothing special.
I used a piggy back fuse from the fuse box, which is a neat and easy way to get ignition power.
I have a small VW torch which is designed to fit inside the cig lighter plug, so it's a neat place to keep portable lighting.
I have Terrafirma RVS wheels, so purchased a 22mm deep socket and 24 inch breaker bar which I attached via small 'Quick fists' to my right hand Gull Wing box for ease of access.
Also, here's a pic of the fix for the extension mirror arms from blowing in at highway speeds. Sorry about the upside down photo, ever since the site crash, I've not been able to post hosted photos.
    Best wishes all.

    Ken

For anyone who doesn't visit the forum marketplace, Anaconda Camping is currently offering Dune 4WD Recovery Tracks reduced from $239 to $99 (for a pair) if you already have, or sign up for, their free store discount membership.
So maybe you can bolt some onto your Puma this weekend as your 'What did I do?'

Sale is now through Easter or until sold out.

Dune Recovery Tracks Black | Anaconda

I'll be picking some up - will review.

I fitted a GME TX3100 UHF into mine today. Thought I was clever mounting it on the Cubby Box, until I realised it would light up on the windscreen at night. Still,, not that much of a problem.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.
