Currently running about 180 head of Egelabra merinos. They have gone about 19 microns the last couple of years but stand up to foxes a bit better than the little superfines that they generally run around here.

Better mothers than most other Merino then😮. Seen some literally just get up and wander off after dropping a lamb. Do you shear/ class them yourselves?

We employ shearers but do the classing and wool handling ourselves. Good experience for the girls, SWMBO is doing her classing cert at the moment, I did mine 25 years ago and never bothered to get my stencil as I had taken a different career direction.

My Kelpie thought she'd round a sheep up for me once. It came to me at full clip, took my legs out from under me and broke three of my ribs. That's the closest I've come to a wool clip.
    Cheers, Billy.

Long Range Automotive in Lilydale fitted their 134 litre long range tank to the Defender yesterday. Great staff to deal with who provided excellent service and finished the job earlier than I expected. Also won free fitting of the tank at the Melbourne 4x4 show in August which was a bonus. I have had their tanks fitted to some previous dual cab utes I have owned in the past. Like those tanks, the Defender tank is well made. While there is a compromise with ground clearance and departure angle (which I was aware of before I purchased the tank), I am happy that the extra capacity makes up for these issues. The drain plug is also a bonus.
