I put a 1970's Landy badge on my 2015 Puma, because I hate the ****ty plastic sticker badge.

    Or just measure mine up.

However you do it, highly recommended mod - much more comfy on a long trip.

    Cheers,
    Jon

This is mine with some stainless steel washers and it is solid as. In hindsight i could have used a worn leather belt with the washers as a free/cheaper alternative.

Yes. Thanks Jon. They has a nice plaited one as well, if i remember correctly.
I'm going to persist with the teardrop design. It affords a bigger loop and squashes in more easily.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Unbelievable! The things Defender owners will do to customise their vehicles.
I've had 3 of them and have never been so inclined thank goodness. I restricted mods to things to make it better and more reliable, not ooh ahh stuff. But each to his own I suppose, like kiddie pleaser rego plates....
Anyway I did nothing to the Puma, our last Defender, as it's now gone to a good home down Esperance way to a Landy man.

    Better hey?

Like not jamming your leg into the door handle all the time by making something to prevent it causing discomfort? I’d suggest that’s a mod to make it better!

    +1

Little things like this can make a big difference to comfort levels on a long trip. I no longer get out with a sore leg after a day’s driving.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Long trips and the handle digs into my leg too. Great idea to go a material style handle. I got the one from mudstuff and it’s a very simple mod but does the job really well
