    Stinger Defender Stereo Install

According to the MUD UK web site, it’s ‘plug and play’ so I’ll get back once I install the unit with my views. I’m not expecting any real issues apart from my mucking around removing the Redarc gauges and transferring their senders to the new unit, unless it’s wired into the OBD2 port.

[QUOTE=HUE166;3221676]Is that a true "plug and play" system? Is there any rewiring required at all?[/]

Will do Shane, I just forgot that I need to also install my new GME UHF. The little plastic clip that makes up the cable connector at the UHF end broke off so needed a new handset. I ended up buying their latest and greatest befor I found out that I could just replace the cable.🤔

Not me but my daughter. She went to the motor factors with her bulb pack to replace a sidelight bulb she had used. She understands that when you use your spare, you get another one. (300 tdi)

    Stinger Haigh Head Unit

    WooHoo!!!

My delivery from MUD UK arrived in FNQ today and I’ve just opened it up.
Stinger Haigh 10 inch touch screen unit which will transform my dash in the 2012 110, and provide more functionality. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to fit it as I’ve just moved from Port Arthur to the Atherton Tablelands and to say my garage is a bomb site would be pretty fair.😳

A cursory look at what’s included in the big box is pretty reassuring to say the least. Beautifully packed and an extensive list of bits and pieces so once I bite the bullet and dismantle my dash, I’ll provide more photos.

    As approved by Midnight.🐾🐾

Not quite a task on the 130 Puma but a baby step forward for the benefit of the Puma. After 18 months wait for the engine builder to do his thing, i got my freshly built LS. Started as a 6.0L iron block from a GM truck. Stripped, bored 0.005", 4" stroker rotating assembly, cam specs to suit objective of a low rpm load lugging engine, new everything internally and externally. Refresh of the heads with LS7 lifters, new valve strings etc. The only things carried over is the block itself, intake manifold/fuel rail/injectors and the thermostat housing. End result, 6.6L - 525HP/525ft-lbs (~720nm). +600nm from 2k to redline.

Now got to fertilise the money tree to commence the conversion. All the little items add up. As an example, to buy the bits and bobs just for the fuel lines is just under $400. That's using nylon fuel tube used in most modern cars and factory style quick connect fittings. Using braided PTFE hose and AN fittings is double the cost of nylon and factory style fittings. Low permeable EFI grade hose is more expensive again. Stainless steel is on par with PTFE but by the time you buy quality tools is + $1.3k. That's just the fuel line. No fancy fuel rails or regulators in that costing. I call bollocks to anyone that pipes up and declares you can do an engine conversation of anything in the LS, M57, [insert modern engine here] for 20k

Put a TMD short shifter in, and amazing difference. Put a double cardan front shaft in after a pinion seal leak. See how it goes.

Got heavy duty steering arms to upgrade but not sure if I should leave that to the local garage.
