    Landrover Dealers - Dreary

Had to go in to 2 dealers on Thur and Fri looking for some plastic rivets for my snorkel install job over the weekend.

Both dealers had no defenders in their yards!
Not second hand ones, obvioulsy no new ones.

I commented to the salesman, "Lokks pretty sad around here with no Defenders in the yard". He had a bit of chat with me.

Meanwhilst some bloke started up the Jaguar F fype in the the show room to move it some meters. The exhaust shot out some black muck and splattered it on the white tiles. It looked like a bit of condesation and oil residue, but I couldnt help myself, and in an attempt to stave of the dreariness, I said. "Its not even out of the showrow and its leaking oil". There were no smiles.

Proper landrovers have exited the showrooms, and made way for the precious other cars and a dreary environment. I used to love going to these 2 dealers when I was younger. Its not the same anymore.

There's two 90's in Berwick at the moment. White ones done about 4-5k, so a demo, and the other, kind of a brown colour is a spanker, (82 grand )

    "$82K",...for a 90?!!....Jeez, that's almost unbelieveable,....for a car that was what, around $45K on the road a year ago?!!
It's not that far from me,...is it the yard or in the showroom?

You need a three-piece suit just to walk into a Land Rover service dept waiting room these days, I've never been permitted to meet an actual mechanic, and going into the showroom is like a members only exclusive club.
