Thread: Headlights/Brake lights

Just had a call from my son -

When he brakes, his headlights dim. I'd be suspecting a poor earth but unsure where - rear?

Any pointers to earth locations at the rear appreciated, or any better suggestions.

The earth strap on my 2008 Puma is connected to the outrigger below the driver's feet. You could tighten the screw holding it in place if it is loose. Failing that follow it upwards and look for a loose connection further up. That is the simplest earthing check to do. Someone else might be along with more checks to do.
