    Cost of repairs.

What with the normal cost of living and day to day expenses I have often said that if I wasn't able to look after my Defender myself it would have to go. And I don't say that lightly.
But the cost of LandRover parts is just stupid in Australia. I hate that I buy most of my parts from overseas. I would rather buy local but it's just too expensive.
Before I get shouted down. I'll give you an example. I need a four bolt drop arm. Local the cheapest I could get was $90. Plus $22 delivery. I ordered from an overseas Land Rover specialist and it cost $38 (?16.50) The delivery kills at $40 (about ?18) but still cheaper than local.
I'll give you another. Defender door card trim clips. Local $1.40 each! Overseas. .15p each.
The only thing I buy local are Oils and Fliters. Only for convenience. Usually when supacheap has a sale. But next time I'll order the filters in as well.

We would need pictures of our mechanics having relations with a cat, to ged those prices.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.
