Can someone clarify that road side assist can be had for the extra 3 years as it seems cheaper than say NRMA premium which is great--not interested in warranty as I know it is not available on Defenders.
Yes, unless we're talking "LANDROVER" (factory) assist, I ain't interested,...might as well go RACV.
I was told some time ago that "Factory" extended warranty or assist was not available on Defender, so if anyone has any details to the contrary, I'd definitely be interested upon the warranty expiry in November of our Defender.

Yes it was about LR Road side assist, not warranty and not 3rd party provision of either.

If interested I recommend owners speak to their local dealer. My dealer informed me that road side assist was extended for 3 yrs beyond the end of Defender warranty, for free, provided I continue servicing the vehicle with them. They also said it was a LR program.

    Cheers,

    Pete

Yes mine is Land Rover Assist and I was provided with a card and receive renewal each year $125. I unfortunately have used it twice, but the service has been great.

However, a friend of mine who is on the trip I was intending to do had an issue and was told that he was in a service area and had to wait for recovery/assistance. ? My two occasions were away or remote and I received great assistance, go figure. By the by, my issue has been the oil cooler twice!!

So good, was as my previous post in this thread, and bad as per my friend in his 2016 Defender.

Guess I should read the brochure, (which is in my car en-route from Mt Isa to Townsville).

This would make my 3c worth as I put 2c in the previous post :-)

My 2014 Defender 110 was serviced today in Canberra (dealer servicing as I have always done since purchasing new from there). I too was advised I will now receive complimentary roadside assist for the next three years after my factory warranty runs out in April 2017.

They even washed all of yesterdays Brindabellas dirt off the vehicle
