    110 Rear Sliding Window Replacement??

Paddock Spares told me the assemblies they sold only fit Defenders that have never had windows. If I had factory windows, none of theirs would fit.

    1. Does this sound right?

    2. How do I replace my rear sliding windows?

    Cheers

    1. Quite possibly right. Their sliding window assemblies are probably intended for adding windows to blank sided hardtops fitted to home market vehicles sold with no windows for tax purposes, and are not the same size as the factory ones.

    2. I suggest going to genuine parts or alternatively look for second hand ones - why do you need to replace them?

Someone will have a set laying around after installing gullwings; I did, but they went into a skip before I moved to QLD.

Replacing is simple, take the rubber out of the channel on the exterior of the window frame - this will expose the rivets that hold it on. Drill them out and the window can be eased out with a rag over the end of a wide flat blade screwdriver (or a trim tool if you're suitably equipped).

If you mean replacing the glass only, do the above then remove the screws holding the top half of the window frame to the bottom half, seperate the halves and the glass will be out.

    Sliding windows

My Gull Wing set up is on the plane from Switzerland as we speak.
I'll have a set of windows available very soon if interested.

    Or

    I have a a near new set of sliding windows off a 2015 110.
Your welcome to make me an offer. They were 6 months old when I replaced them with gullwings.

I don't think they've ever been opened and are seized. Being they are 23 yrs old, I planned to rebuild or replace.

Being that I'm new at this, I didn't realize this was an option...very cool upgrade. I'd be interested in the wings that are all glass and have a similar factory look. Any recommendations?

I have two options fitted to mine. Mines a hardtop so two on each side, front is 3/4 glass rear is solid.

Not the best pic but maybe 2/3 glass, these are available from Mulgo Expedition Centre in Sydney....there are other version just not sure of the brands.
