    Upgrading 110 Front Springs

Current fronts are sagged....and shocks stuffed

    Bump-stops
    Front Right 53mm
    Front Left 52mm

Ordered a set of 130 front springs, got me buggered why they have a longer on for the driver side

    Free Length
    Right 391
    Left 381

Yeap, supposedly to account for constant weight of driver.
Mine are HD from 130, colour coded
    Left:Yellow/White
    Right: Blue/Red

My 110 now sits level and don't think is right, I don't think the weight of warn winch+synthetic rope and winch bar were heavy enough for these type of springs.
I had them on for 2 1/2 years and thought they will sag a bit, nope.
Major service at Les Richmond mid June so will ask his opinion.

I've been debating if having an ARB bar and Iron-man winch means HD from springs would be a good idea. Still undecided. What do you think?

Just got out and measured mine, bump stop to axle.

    Front : 95mm
    Rear : 105mm

What your thoughts on these heights?

Should be a bigger difference than 10mm.

Best way to measure height is between the spring perches. Far more accurate.

    A stock 110/130 is 250-260mm front and 320-330mm rear. (90/rrc/d1 is 300mm rear)

May I ask how you arrive at the statement “between the spring perches is far more accurate”?

As long as the bump stop isn’t damaged it should be no less accurate. Between spring mounts is definitely good for weight calculation (compressed length) vs open length...

Front sounds a little high and rear a little low. For the 110 I have standard figures of 72 front and 130 rear unladen. These numbers are +/- 15mm.

As a comparison, when mine was delivered it was 60/70 front and 115/125 rear (driver/passenger).

Now with bar and winch on the front and drawers in the rear it’s at 50/50 front and 100/110 rear.

Mine’s a bit low now and I’m considering what to do. I’d like to raise it about 1” all round, but don’t want to go any stiffer.

    Cheers,
    Jon

I should have said between models. Also I have 3 different stock bumpstops that all measure different height. plus what if you run extended bumps, worn out bumps, where you measure on the bumps etc...
