    Found out the hard way!!!!

Ok, so I'm giving this feed back to anyone who is ordering from Ashcrofts with orders larger than $1000....

My Order was $2424.......Locker, MT82 adapter, and ATB centre diff, and idler shaft bush for TX case....

    Ashcroft sent it via TNT......

Just got a message from TNT.......

    $447.28 payable to release goods....

    DUTY: $110.77
    GST: $253.51
    Other CHARGES(don't know): $83.00

I'm either a sucker(or worse), or some of our fellow Landrover fraternity members have got away with a good deal in the past..... A little disappointing about the extra money, but oh well......

My 110 is going to have some upgrades....

    Hope this info is useful

what about when you placed the order?

Aus GST rules now compel the point of sale to collect GST for those in countries aligned to the new worldwide tax agreements.

I've bought a few items off ebay recently and been charged GST.
Last purchase were parts for dads 307 from Poland(I think) .. anyhow they didn't charge GST, whereas the parts we ordered from the UK did.

It's all a bit hit and miss, and I reckon some players will fully play the system while there's confusion as to whether it's collected at the point of sale charged by carrier, .. or not ... or what?

    Just because I can

I had to post this picture, as I’ve been always envious of other AULRO members posting pictures of their purchases from Ashcroft’s......

It cost me, but it did arrive exactly one week later........can’t wait to install these items.....it will really change the reliability, ability, and driving experience of my Puma....

Aust post via DHL ? how did that work?

Whenever I do a purchase from any supplier that uses DHL, they deliver it straight to my workshop.
I actually avoid any supplier now that uses Aust Post.

Daz, where I used to live in the bush, Aust Post did the last leg for DHL as they had no affiliate with the local couriers.
