That's a really nice looking setup - is that soundproofing making a noticeable difference?
Hard to tell because my baseline is pre-engine conversion (Td5 to 4BD1T), but it is no noisier in the cab than before and the 4BD1 is a far less 'refined' engine. According to my Android sound meter app the average volume cruising is 78db. I don't have any under bonnet insulation yet, doors are untouched and the firewall only got a mild treatment as it will be swapped out for a galv unit when I paint the truck. All the sound proofing is from retail suppliers like Car Builders or Dynamat, I'm going to add some premium materials (denser & thicker) when time and motivation permits.
WRT to the roof loads and roof racks etc.....the BIL's 130 spent some of its life with a heavily loaded gutter mount roof rack. There is a very noticeable difference between my roof that has never had a rack and his. His roof is much more prone to movement and flex with gaps showing up around his doors on rough roads. Having seen this I will never run a gutter mount rack, I intend to keep my 130 for a long time.

I have a 130 tray CC tray back - 300tdi which I recently purchased with less than 100Kms on the clock. This one is ex RFS and is a keeper. I have been looking into all full length rack options and it is very interesting to hear about the roof flex - never heard of this before. I am keen to ruin a full external roll cage but can't seem to get a definitive answer regarding the legality in NSW?!
