came across the following options for height control

    https://riderite.com/-/media/www/rid...lManual_EN.pdf

These control height via a manual sensor. you set your ride height with it, and plumb the air through it, it then increases or decreases pressure based on sensor position. I'm told it has a delay, but I'm not sure how much and how it would function offroad with extremes of axle articulation.

    https://riderite.com/-/media/www/rid...lManual_EN.pdf

this option could be better. Simply maintains air pressure. which perhaps could be a good thing as the sensors would not be causing pressure changes. Plus does away with the complications of height sensor installation. I wonder how it would be viewed from an engineering signoff point of view. How do they define self leveling? this system would self level, at a given load.

For front and back installations, you could link both axles and just control front and back and not get side to side leveling. They don't seem to have a system that does all 4 corners.

As for pressure in the airbags, when unloaded I am between 40-45 psi and now that I have 2 tool boxes on with some stuff in them I am at 60psi and when I am towing and packed up I run between 80-85psi.
    Cheers Ian
Just confirming you have replaced your coils with bags.....I.e. no coils.

80 seems high, I assume you are at GVM or more.

Cool, thanks for that, good to see they perform.

This guy, goes through an air bag setup. YouTube

in the UK, bilstien are offering ride control with their struts, still need springs though

Just look at any Truck and trailer with them as you are behind one and you will see how they preform. I have never seen a semi on the side of the road because of Airbag failure (not to say that it has ever happened thou)

I have an ARB compressor with a 150psi pressure switch plumbed into a 9lt air tank under the tray and have the incab controller with LED pressure gage on the dash
    Cheers

I run the pretty much the same as you......airbag man kit, twin arb compressor, airbag man digital gauge and paddle switches.....very happy with the mod mod.

Yep that’s what I tell the punters as well, how many trucks do you see with a failed airbag.

Could those with the Airbag Man rear kit advise how it affected overall suspension travel, in particular droop? I can see that the bump stop spacer reduces theoretical compression travel, which is ok with me because my tyres and current spring rate dont let me get near the bump stops anyway. However I'd be reluctant to give up much droop travel.

Putting the question another way, does droop travel run out before the shock is at full extension, or is the shock the extension limiter with some further travel once the shock is disconnected?

When I get around to replacing my rear shock I will be measuring pin to pin and getting a shock to suit the bag....

I have noticed any change off road...although I don’t chase tough stuff my last trip to the high country didn’t present any issues.
