Carzee, I reckon we may have exchanged waves a few times around Canberra. (Keswick 110). If not, I've been waving at a very similar vehicle to yours.
Great pic![]()
Yes I wave to Defenders, there seems to be more and more around here and the coast. My mate is in LRACT but its a pity the events always seem to clash with visiting family in Melb or Newie etc.
I'm taking some time to regain my 'photographic fitness' because next year my wife and I are doing what Simon did (110aroundoz.com) but without a trailer.
.... and btw we shot it in 4K HD and I edited it on my Sony Bravia 55in tv. Its gorgeous on the TV. I think we should be aiming for a LR tv channel. Every other hobby seems to have a channel...
Hi Guys, - I thought I'd share a few pics of my truck with you. I drive through out California and the western US to photograph landscapes using a Large Format camera with (Black and White Film) - Most of the time I am by myself - or with my dog "Jack" a small rat terrier.... he loves 4 wheeling with me. I do a lot of driving in the eastern Sierras's, Inyo and White mountains and Death Valley. I don't bash my truck.... most of the time I am by myself - with no local services (most of the roads I travel were built for miner's horse drawn wagons) - so no rescue trucks to haul me out. I try to keep my truck in top running condition....

Cool looking rig, and out in the country most of the time,,,, right where she belongs, doing what she does best.![]()
Welcome Len. As Chops says, cool rig. Looks good in any landscape.![]()
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
When I look at pictures of Landcruisers, Patrols etc in the bush I can't help getting the feeling that I am looking at a machine which is at odds with its environment, that there is a tussle happening.
When I see Defenders in the same sort of pictures it is as if there is a passive ambiance, that there is a symbiotic relationship occurring with the Defender not only fitting in but belonging there.
Weird eh.............![]()
