BFG and MAXXIS also do 255/85. BFG/Coopers were a shade under $300 each and MAXXIS were about $260 from memory. MAXXIS prescribed 8" rim, the others were allowed a 6.5 or 7" rim.

Can only find Coopers that make a 255/85/r16 tyre,does anyone know if they are produced by other companies

that's interesting. A MAXXIS Big Horn brochure I have from a local tyre shop prescribes rim range of 7.5" to 9". And to correct the prices I indicated above - the price I noted on the brochure was $360 not $260.

I have 255 bighorns on 7" disco rims. happy so far.
Personally I would buy them over BFGs.
