Stainless Defender Hinges

Gday

Took my landy down to JC the other day. I never noticed it before, but he opened the door and gave it a shove. There is a huge amount of slop in the hinges. Only on the passenger side though.

(Possible cause: not being used much in 13 years, and rusting shut then being worked free. JC's explanation)

So, I remember once seeing stainless hinges to suit a Defender. Does anyone know anything about these? Otherwise Ill just get a standard set

And yes I know, nice shiny hinges will add a bit to the **** factor

Have a search through the UK based suppliers and eBay. Their reasonably available but the cost a fair bit.

You can get them from Scorpion Racing, i tryed to get some s/s bolts for the hinges but he said (SYDNEY WAREHOUSE)he was having a bit of trouble with Scorpion Racing supplying so i don't know how you will go.

As Brian said, Stig fasteners in the UK. Who I got my ss bolts from. Really good to del with, sent me 8 wrong length bolts and got me the right size out here very quickly, with no issues.

There's also a store on eBay selling stainless fasteners for Land Rovers. See below for 5 door hinge bolt set.
