Took my SVX to the dealer with rattling clutch and engine rattlle when starting  cold last week. They replaced the clutch with a modified unit from the U.K. 
	
		
			
			
				The 50 cal engine noise that was backed up by a yellow light and  loss off power  was put down to a fuel metering valve. I know others have had hell with this noise. 
			
		 
	 
 By the way new clutch is awsum. My SVX is now the vehicle I thought I was getting in October last year. Stick with it, (stiff upper lip)  you will eventualy end up with a good   4x4 or if your really unlucky and your dealer is crap you may  end up in psychiatric care (stiff upper lip may not hold up.) Jokes aside, why does this product have so many  faults? This vehicle just needs quality control. Why cant they get it right after 60 years of practice. I know all the arguments, its a Defender, this is what they are like, ect....... The poms eventualy learned to win a game of cricket, so  Why cant they build a kit car?????????? My wife has a Jag, its  reliable, Jaguar used to be the joke of world motering.   My defender is built by the same compony!!!!!!! So far I have spent almost $90000 buying and kitting out this vehicle,  come on Land Rover  get with the program.
