    My "new" County

'85 Isuzu County, full of red dust

Tentatively called "Dustin", but the name hasn't really stuck.

Currently tidying him up for rego transfer. Pulled the Konis out of my dead Disco and fitted them today. I'll be hunting some sound deadening and carpet tomorrow.

Here he is lined up with stablemate "Doc"

Factory Isuzu, Aussie built I think.

It isn't as tidy as it looks in the pics, but it isn't a complete dog either.

I think it has been a touring truck for a while and has a fair bit of wear and tear. I need the mental number of seats, baby no5 due in 3 weeks. But I also want to play in it.

Lots of little niggles to fix, and I have to make it a bit more civilised if the Mrs is going to tolerate it

Just curious, but what ages are your kids?

I'm just about to buy a county for a very similar reason - current 7 seater is full and we would like to have another kid or two (not on the way yet though, the youngest is only six months old).

I know I'll have to have a CRAB fitted to get the baby seats into the middle row (any suggestions for a supplier in Tassie gratefully accepted), but my eldest is 5 tomorrow so I'm a little unsure about putting her and her brother in the centre facing seats at the back. Curious to know what others do...?

    Cheers,...Jon.

    Hey Jon,

I only read this in a news report a couple of weeks ago but Victoria just introduced laws which make it illegal for a child under the age of 8 to be in a car and not be in a proper child seat with a harness.

Apparently Victoria was the first state to go and all the other states will have the same rules by the end of the year. Don't know if thats any help or not but I wouldn't think you would be able to fit proper child seats to the inward facing seats.

I have a factory bolt/tie down bar. A search should bring up a thread on point which even has a diagram of it.

Chassis no should start SALLDHAZ1... if a factory isuzu county.
