So we all want to know HOW MUCH??? This is what LR should have done for the 60th special , put in a tdv6 (or tdv8) .
All we need is a conversion kit and a few clumsy disco/pug( also a rumor ford may be fiting the 2.7 tdv6 to the territory!) drivers to get access to cheap tdV6 engines and make the defender the way it ought to be!

Didn't Ford sell Land Rover to Tata Motors of India? It should happen but I can't see it.

    Love your work!!!

I especially like the galvanised axle casings. Was it much work to tidy up all the mounting faces and bolt holes after galvanising???

Yes but the tdv6 was a LR/ pug/ jag joint development job so the rights to use it where split along with the 4.2 v8 petrol(and the transit engine in the defender) used in the rangies/jags.
They should throw away the old ford(explorer) 4l v6 petrol(base disco's) and get something better suited to a 2.5 ton 4x4!
