$65 - 70K for a base V8 isn't terrific value for money. To me a 6.2l SS Commodore for about $55k is a better car and much better value for money.

Spudboy - would have loved to keep Johns video up but it has a lot of naughty words in it.

Not necessarily,..it depends what you're looking for,...ya cant buy a 2 door Commodore,..some people want a V8 Coupe,..as proven by the demand for Mustang, worldwide, for this car.....it has been, and continues to be, a HUGE success.

I'm not saying it's not a success I, just saying you probably shouldn't drive one too fast if you want to live when you prang it...

On a similar but different tangent... Dodge Ram has recently brought the 'full size' pickup (AKA Utility) offering to Aus.
Somebody please bring the F350 super duty to this country. I will pretend I have a spare 200K to stooge a test drive.

Local Holden dealership here in Kal has a very nice looking red Camaro with white stripes in No. 1 display position out the front of the showroom.

You are right, but of course it is a conversion & totally unable to compete with Mustang on price.
However, if GM ever wakes up & produces the Camaro in RHD, it will be a different story.

Could have sworn the one I saw the other day had white stripes.

There's been one on display there for quite a while now, so maybe they've had more than one - and I don't look in there very often.

At least, being a Camaro, you are guaranteed it will be a V8 and have a bit of grunt behind it (at least I think they are all still V8's). I have a quiet little chuckle whenever I see one of the new Mustangs these days - is it really a descendant of the old V8 known for muscle car performance - or is it an "Ecotec" four cylinder pretender ...........................

Much as I might like the look of the new Mustang, I seriously couldn't buy one while they have a choice of a V8 or a little 4 pot screamer in the same body.
    Cheers .........

Why would anyone buy a "4 Cyl. Mustang"?......Beats me.
However, the 5L V8 is a seriously good engine,....outputs of 800HP are easily achieveable, whilst the car could still be driven by a "little old lady to church on Sunday".....the wonders of modern S.C. & associated electronics.
