Realistic pricing seems not to be a concern Ford are interested in addressing here - and as they are selling like hot cakes anyway I can't see a price reduction any time soon. Time will tell what the resale value of second hand units will be like within 12 months or so which may be a good option.

Pricing?..Really guys, I think the pricing is not too bad, they're WAY cheaper than anything from HSV, and that's why i said in a previous post, first stop for me would be Herrod, & I'd still be cheaper than HSV.
IMHO, a major reason why Mustang has been so successful is because it's cheap, I mean it's not like a Hyundai i30 etc, but for anything like it, it's cheap,.....particularly when compared to what people previously paid to import & convert one,....well over $100K.

Ford Mustang - as safe as a 1st gen Great Wall ute...

If you actually have a look at what you get (or don't get) and the build quality (or lack there of) they are way overpriced IMO. When we looked at them and test drive one, I was actually quite shocked at how badly they are finished compared to Taiwanese offerings. One of the things I noticed when I first walked up to one and tried to open the door (which was locked) the whole door panel moved when I pulled on the handle - they just seem cheap to me is all, but the price tag says different.

In the UK, they are the same price as a Focus ST. Here, they aren't half the car that HSV builds. Don't get me wrong. I wanted the Mustang to be great. If I was forced to choose in the silly Ford/GM argument I would choose Ford. But I think the current Mustang is nothing more than a cynical marketing exercise, when it could have been a great car.

Yes indeed, a new one would be good, only FACTORY RHD for me though, NO WAY would I ever want a converted car.

    A hi ace van gets 4 stars,same as D3/4....all a bit strange.

The van jumped from 3 to 4 stars because the new model had ABS standard.

Everywhere you look there are new Mustangs mostly convertibles. mostly top down.

They look great, they sound great.

I hope Ford see fit to market them at a realistic price here as they are stateside. My wife likes them, I like them, perhaps when she retires and doesnt need a shopping trolley we may look at one.
Like most things, the market itself usually has a huge influence on the price so I think Ford is selling them at a realistic price FOR FORD. They are selling lots of them at the current price so I cannot see them lowering the price any time soon.

    I'd rather have a WRX.
