I think we are going to see a fair bit of the Defender in the new ABC series "Death in Paradise"( Sat 7:30pm). According to the first episode, it is the only police vehicle on the island (apart from the motorcycle and side car).

    underworld

One of the Underworld movies had a Rangie classic in it. They ussed it in a chase cant remember if it got blown up or destroyed.
And not to forget the 101's used in Stallones movie Judge Dread

Any one watching "The Aussie Way Up" on National Geographic?

Basically four blokes trying to tour the outback in a 130 running it only on canola oil or any other bio fuel they can find and use. Watching it now and they have run out of fuel and are using camels to haul the defender back to civilization.

    Go have a look.

Might have already been mentioned, but the new Expendables movie has 3 AWESOME decked out landies in the first scene. Excellent movie for those who enjoy mindless action also.

The September 2012 edition of Land Rover World has an article on those Defenders -

    Expendable Defenders
Not only does Expendables 2 have the potential to be the biggest movie of the year, if not the decade but it also features a handful of very special Defenders that were built in Scotland then driven to near destruction on the film set in Bulgaria. Simon WH visited PortalRover in Inverness to get the full story.

Just stumbled across this. Looks like they have a portable refinery of sorts in their trailer with heating elements to clean it all up.
