Thanks Paul, is this plane based in Bundy?
For sure it cost an arm and a leg!

during the speach, our Mayoress plugged that the Bundy Regional Council sponsored the event (fly over) and that the pilot was a commercial (Cathy-Pacific IIRC) pilot. My understanding was that it was a totally commercial agreement with both plane and pilot coming from out of town.

Isn't that the aircraft that the central character in "Empire of the Sun" got all excited about?

How about some technical details like focal length and shutter speed? The prop is almost frozen. What sort of shutter speed do you need to do that?

    Yes mate Martyn got it.
    Camera: Nikon D300s
    Lens Nikon 70-300VR
    Settings:
Shutter speed priority at 1/4000 sec
AF area: Dynamic 9 points in continuos auto focus mode
The light was very harsh so @ 400ISO was Ok and the D300s is heaps better that the D200 for ISO noise.
I did not have much time to do other settings because the beast it is to fast

In the PP I have to do a bit of cropping

    Cheers
