Why stacking a bird image?
IMO a single shot over SS 1/250 it is the way to go without a tripod.
not really. the light was really crap, i shake from too many years swinging hammers and the d90 doesnt have the a/f fine tuning so i need to manually do it every time :P
saving for that tripod.... i want a good one so there is some resistance from the minister for war :D
Inc, as long as your minister for war do not authorise you to purchase a 600mm lens and a full frame body you are going to be Ok with a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3
I guess that now, near XMAS, the risk to sleep in the shed for a request of $345.00 is going to be low :D
then there is the head....
taken with the tokina 35mm
came out of my shop last night and the corellas were into the tree in the carpark

Very nice habitat image, well composed.
The quality of the lens is very good, if you have a good software try to crop the 2 birds at the bottom on the center of the image and for sure you will be finishing with a nice details on it.
funny you should say that Arthur
i played with that for a while as well
100% crop from tokina 35mm evening shot of corellas in tree over from work
