need to get to scanning my 35mm prints & slides - haven't got anywhere near as good photos since I went digital
Old gear - Olympus OM10 SLR with lenses from 28-200 zoom, to 500mm mirror lense, to Kowa TSN-4 spotter scope with camera adapter giving me a 1200mm f15.6 telephoto
New gear - Pentax K-X dSLR with 18-55mm, 75-300mm macro, & the Kowa listed above
too many birds, not enough time
This young wedgy turned up at one of the quarries I work at recently. Mum and dad fly around and keep an eye on him/her. What gets us is that he/she like sitting on top of the drilling rig mast while we drill. The noise and vibration is incredable. Anyway he/she likes donuts, ham sandwiches, some fruits, bread and chases things we throw along the ground. Will try and get some good shots with a proper camera one day. This is with a mobile through the window of the rig. Eating said donut.

Sounds similar to the pet one we had when we were kids
Was a fantastic pet,she used to chase the cricket ball and bring it back to us.
She was on a long chain and running line with leathers(jessies),i think we called them, for many years.
Had a wonderful personality, happy to be with you like a dog.
Those were the days before you had to have permits, etc for keeping native wildlife.Cant remember where she came from, but had been in captivity from a very young age.
Anyway,back to bird pics
