    Nice thread. These photos are perhaps not up to the high standard set here but I like them. Resolution is low because they're just from my AULRO gallery.

    Out at Tara about 100m from camera:



    The kookaburras on Cape York are stunning:





    Watched some of these Palm Cockatoos feeding for ages at Umagico campground.
    Amazing dexterity. Shot some good video too.

    Yep when I stayed at Umagico i sighted a palm cockatoo as well but by the time i turned around and picked up my long lens it disapeared Post your birdlife shots
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    So Arthur being as though the D500 is now apparently the long awaited replacement for the D300s do you think you might treat yourself?
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    No, if I purchase more gear4 will be a 500mm lens, tripod head and flash for bird photography.
    IMO the D300s with good glass have more life yet,

    I've been out at Healesville today, using the "Spirits of the Sky" exhibition as a place to practise some birds in flight technique.

    I'm not going to public admit to my hit and miss ratio... but some pointers from any of you with BIF skills would be appreciated... I certainly need lots of practise..

    While this first one is obviously not in flight... I do like him, and the second I thought was kind of cool... Barking Owl.
