    Common Paper Wasp or Australian Paper Wasp

    About half hour after I took this shot the bastard got me in the arm. It is painful and my fingers went numb for 2 hours or so.
    The price that we have to pay for close up shots I guess

    had a go at these types of photos as well, first time ever, cruising about on a mobility scooter and using my $130 sigma lens from ebay haha. has a macro switch so gave it a whirl for the first time ever since got it months ago now.

    I think this is a male Culex annulirostris (mosquito) on a drosera capensis.
    Taken at Mt Tomah botanic gardens. It was very tiny and windy.

    1/40 sec, F4.
