I use an obscure software called "Picture Window Pro" (PWP) with "DxO" thrown in only when required to deal with lense distorti on, perspective correction and vignetting.
PWP is a very powerful bit of inexpensive software albeit a bit old fashioned in its graphic user interface appearance. When a sheet of A3 plus photo rag paper costs about $7.50 a pop it gives me some confidence that what I see on the screen will find its way onto the paper when I press the print button.
The Adobe stuff leaves me cold and penniless and GIMP bamboozles.
