OK so I dropped the camera in to Nikon today...and I have contacted the mortgage company to refinance the house...

I dont know how much its going to cost but I have an incling its not going to be checp.

as I handed over the lens the first thing he said was Oh the contact pins look loose like they might not be set in the right place....so who knows

I have asked them to service the camera as well.

fingers crossed I they find something and fix it and it doesnt cost me my first born...

Is that the Nikon D80? if yes, IMO, it will be cheaper to upgrade.

Sensor clean is about $150 if your not a Nikon Pro ( we don't pay for it ) If the lens is out of warranty expect to pay $4-500 for a service / repair on a 70-200 2.8

well unfortunately I paid 2.5g for the lens when I first brought it so I cant afford for it to be thrown away...so if its 500bux to fix its 500bux to fix.

they are giving me a quote first before going ahead with the repairs..

I was loooking at second hand D300s the other night, though at under 600bux that was very tempting!! I must say
