    There are other things that affect the quality of the image apart from the number of pixels.

    The number of pixels is something that makes good headlines and advertising copy because a lot of people think 120 megapixels is four times as good as 30 megapixels. It isn't. It is only about twice as good.

    Twice as good is a pretty significant jump though.

    Mind you, perhaps other aspects of photography are the limiting factors rather than the sensor.

    I hope no one emails me their 'snapshots' from that camera, 10 photos and my monthly mobile wifi account is blown .

    (I hate it when I wait 5 minutes for a photo that someone sent me to download then I just delete it !! )


    that said I know a lot of people with high end SLR's and they only ever take photos with their iPhone - go figure
