Exactly why she got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 for Christmas (she's now 12).

One of the best things I ever bought both kids was a digital camera each. On our various trips they have both gone nuts taking hundreds and hundreds of pictures - It's quite amazing what things inspire kids..

So much better than my first Kodak when I was a kid.... 12 photos then wait a week to get the blurry prints back

The morning was something special for photography because the window of natural light was very long caused by the clouds coming from the east. I managed to take several shots for about 15 minutes.
