Value for money it looks good. I would like to know what the currant draw is though.

I hate it when they only tell you an average, in this case 1.48 amps per hour.

This can vary so much depending on a lot of factors. I just like to know how many amps it is drawing when it is running.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I'm on to it, my son is an electrician in the railway, doesn't mean he knows 12 V, but I'm sure he can check the current draw, Bob

    Question

How have you found the fridge Bob? I'm thinking of buying one of there 45 litre fridges and some feedback would be great.

    Thanks

Are they the ones Repco stores sell? Name sounds similar. Seem like a good price for what you get.

No complaints so far, I don't have a fridge slide, so I strap it down in the back.. Been over a few rough tracks, bounced the fridge about a bit, when the straps came a bit loose, unknown to us. No apparent damage. Does what it has too with a minimum of fuss. I bring it down to temp. the night before, using the 240 to 12V gizmo, and initially have all items to be chilled/frozen down to temp before placing them in the fridge. Have to say, yet to take it on an extended trip [ month or more], but happy with it. The LED light inside is handy. I power mine using a 105 amp battery , in an ARK PAK setup, I have a REDARC battery isolator , yet to be fitted, [ bit slack]. I have found the ARK PAK setup, will keep the fridge at temp for at least 5 days, without charging input. Just have to be careful how many times you open the lid. We have 120w solar panels, which extend battery time, but as said, yet to give the fridge a real long test. Bob

    Techni Ice Fridge

Have been toying with the idea of a second fridge so I can have one in each vehicle and then when I get my T Van it will go in it.

I was going to get another Engel until someone in another thread mentioned that Techni Ice make what appears to be a good fridge.

So I had look and was very impressed with this.

I would like to know the current draw though. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

What do others think of this fridge?

I've had a 45L techni-ice fridge for over a year now, excellent fridge, can't fault it. I run it off an ARK PAK battery pack with a 105 amp battery. From the general info sheet that came with it, at 32C[ based on the GNA60] in fridge mode [ -2C to +2C ] it draws 1.49 amps per hour. Freezer mode [ -10C to -25C ] it draws 1.6 amps per hour. Average power draw for the GNA-60 is given as [ now there is a funny symbol like a V on its side, pointy end to the left, with a line under] 55W+15%.Bob

Thanks Bob. What I am looking for is how much current they draw when the compressor is running. I hate it when manufacturers just state average, as this can vary so much.

I have been on the phone to Techni Ice but they could not answer my question.
He was able to tell me that the compressor is a model BD 35

The link is to Danfoss specs on this. Page two shows power draw but I can't make any sense from it.

Can some one a bit smarter than me work it out?
