It could be as simple as a crook sensor which won't be a massive bill. But don't guess - take the car to an independent Landy workshop and have them analyse the problem via computer.Good luck!!

    abs

If the dash lite is on it means one or more wheels are not under abs control. The best way to tell is by braking hard on a muddy/grassy surface. The wheel that locks and leaves the skid mark is the wheel that is not under abs control. The most common cause is the abs wheel sensor clearance. It is asimple fix. They are accessed by removing the wheel. You simple push the sensor all the way using a small drift gently and the vechilce will set the clearance with the first wheel rotatation. There is a bush that holds the sensor in place and it may need to be repalced to hold the sensor in firmily. they are cheap
