Hi Forumites,
I'm wondering if there any other from seats in the LR range that will bolt straight into the 83 Classic to replace the original seats. I would prefer the bolt in option than the nightmare of installing electric jobbies or something that requires major structural modifications to the bodywork.
The original seals are getting a bit tired thats all, still super comfortable etc. I just got a quote to refurbish the original seats, I'm sure there is something out there from a later year that will fit, maybe a Disco or something.
Constructive comments from maybe someone who has actually changed the seats would be a good starting point. Thanks in anticipation.

I had to change a front passenger seat out of a 87 RRc once cause my dog peed on it.
It just smelled for ever.
Anyhow, I got a pair(to match drivers side) from triumph rover spares.
Not sure how much but they were from a later model,different material to back seats but did not really care at the time.
hurt resale a bit though as everyone noticed.
Next time I think if I was to do it i would shop around for a re-trim.

there is a yard in bussleton cant remember is name but its something like southwest rover ?? he has a few rrrc's in his yard that he is wrecking he may have something suitable

SubscriberDoes the '83 have the seat belts on the B pillar or on the seat? If they're attached to the seats, you'll be limited in options.
